My friend asked me to look up the value (if any) of a $2 bill, series 1953 with a red seal. (The red seal caught her eye.) I'm ignorant about paper money but I said I'd find out as much as I could about it. She says it's in "pretty good shape". Are red seal $2 bills (1953) unusual? All my reference books are about coins so I am clueless. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
Pics would help, but without more information ( series, star or no star, folds, etc. ) usually around $6-$9. It's a keeper.
To add to what pennywise said if there is a star on the end the price goes up and then it's a matter of condition. for a circulated * it's about half as much on top of the $6 to $9 up to about $20 for the 53C. Uncirculated * can get a little pricier.
