1952 s Penny

    Hello, check out this coin and help me if you can. It ia a 1952 s penny that weighs only 2.8? Anyone have info of this?

    The cent has been exposed to something corrosive. Either acid or was in the ground.

    Looks like a metal detector find. In the ground for a long time and reacted to the soil. Still worth 1¢.

    I agree. Environmental Damage. Long time exposure to the elements will corrode an old Cent. I have found hundreds such as yours metal detecting.
