<p>
So I've been sorting through a bunch-o-wheats and came across a 1952 D that I can't seem to find anything about. I'm not a Lincoln Cent expert by any means, I've searched a bit, but not found anything that stands out. Figured I'd put the experts on it.</p><p><br /></p><p>There's probably nothing outta the normal on this, I just found it and the high D stuck out to me when searching, because out of the 20 or so 52 Ds that I have in the pile this is the only one where the D is actually sitting high enough where the top of the D intersects the tail of the 9. I have found 2 other "types" in the pile with regards to the D Mint mark. Seems like this D mint mark was all over the place. Most of them the D Sits lower like the other example in my pics, the other "variety" the D is raised up a bit closer to the 9 and the 5, but nothing like this coin that I'm asking about.</p><p><br /></p><p>Here is the coin with the D up between the 9 and the 5</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-mT3mEY9982s/U7yGwQEdpgI/AAAAAAAAFcw/p7I-yI2eEdw/s800/IMG_0002.JPG" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /> </p><p><br /></p><p><img src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-ensMwKUthWk/U71JIxWJEeI/AAAAAAAAFdY/VUiS0AnJYJ4/s800/highD.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /> </p><p> </p><p><br /></p><p>Here is what I'm calling a "normal" D because most of them look like this...</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-vWosKDgprSY/U7yGwcZ2SNI/AAAAAAAAFc4/HH1ScaWoMpw/s800/IMG_0005.JPG" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /> </p><p><br /></p><p><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-DqaMlHnLv1g/U71JI7fPnhI/AAAAAAAAFdc/VyFk7TfpdfQ/s800/lowD.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /> </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Both coins side by side for comparison</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-eDA4ajRqrBE/U7yGv2rkeJI/AAAAAAAAFb8/oQW_QueYd_I/s800/IMG_0006.JPG" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" />
</p><p><br /></p>
