1950 S Repunched mintmark?

    It appears that 004 and 006 are the only ones where the MM is positioned like your example.

    I think 004 is the closest. Hard to tell with the wear.

    004 looks close to the right MM position.
    You are on your own though on the attribution. The photos aren't clear enough for details.
    Look for the die scratches to match it to die stage A/B.
    And the die crack in the hair for stage C/D.

    No way, that’s just how it minted. Look at the shadow you’re interpreting as the under-mark. It goes around the mark. How the hell does that happen? But I wouldn’t put it past some “expert” to call it an RPM. So much for what I think of some of those. Just my opinion. Please don’t none of you have no nervous breakdown for it.
