The first Silver issue by Israel, in 1949. Quite low mintage of approximately 33,000. .500 fine, and not super easy to find in Gem MS. Old Palestine pound series.
Very nice coin... I have a couple of these myself. Not sure I would give that coin a MS65, but guess pcgs would, and I’m not a professional grader. Thanks for sharing.
How on earth is that PCGS coin graded MS65? Looks all beat up! EDIT: It looks reasonable in TrueView, so maybe just bad pics. @Zohar444 your MS67 looks the grade! Nice!
My photography is far from the best. Looks much more like the TruView in hand. It isn’t all beat up—typical 65 contact marks, and some toning.
Israel 500 Prutah 5709 (AD 1949) Silver, 37 mm, 24.94 gm According to the Numista website these coins were not placed into circulation. Would that make them Non-Circulating Legal Tender (NCLT) coins?
I think the spotting on the reverse was showing up much more pronounced in your photos than in the PCGS photos. It almost looks like pitting in your images - which is what I was seeing. All good - I wasn't ragging on your photos.

I recently got one of these for my world crown collection, low mintage however quite a number of these exist slabbed and raw. In fact some place in FL got in a few hundred recently and sent many to PCGS to get slabbed.......
Cool coin, but definitely available. 65s have been going through eBay for the last couple of months. I just sold an original 1949 set and I have a few other 500s around, but nothing like @Zohar444 . Zohar, did you have a high grade PCGS example at one time?
