I was going to say the same.

Gonna party like its 9948. I have a feeling the US will be long gone by then.

I believe the "second 9" is the combination of a little die deterioration and a few damage blows that produces it. Jim

Can't be! The spacing wouldn't make sense.
Maybe my pareidolia is different than yours.

What about the third 9? There's actually a third 9 he missed, look harder, Jim. :)

@Crystal Pelous, I see you have been a member here since June 19, 2017 with only 6 posts, so I have to assume you are interested in numismatics, but only when you find a coin you can't explain. Your cent is PMD - ED, meaning Post Mint Damage - Environmental Damage, and not a mint error of any type. It has NAV, No Added Value and you should just spend it as it is too far gone to be a collectable, at least in my opinion. Other's may differ.
Pareidolia is when a human believes they see something that really isn't there, like animals in cloud shapes, and can play tricks on your mind for sure. Good luck in the future.

Just because a coin looks strange, weird or different doesn't automatically mean it's a mint error.

I think the entire planet is going to be gone by then, or at least all the human inhabitants.
