I came back to this thread to see if anyone had posted a wart-nose lion from Lydia circa 700 BC. If someone has one it would be very cool to see a photograph. Here is a rather colorful lion.

I don't think I saw anything from Guatemala. Here's an 1893 1/4 Real. I've others but this is the best photo on this tiny coin.
Then there's the MEXICO Spanish Colonial Ferdinand VII 1809-Mo TH 8 Reales. I look to the lions to judge counterfeits - the lions can look really strange sometimes. What an interesting way to look at coins - lions.
