1947 Red Book question

    I did better on the price on mine, but yours is in better condition. Got mine as a library discard for 10 cents. Unfortunately I have no idea where it is anymore. I haven't seen it in 25 years and I have moved eight times since then.

    Nah, mine didn't have the covered spine and corners, but almost all the gilt was gone from the front cover.

    I didn't realize you can buy the commemorative reprint of the 1947. Saw it on the bookshelf at Borders tonight.

    Picked up another early edition red book (tenth edition) at a thrift store. Not near as nice as the 1947 but it was on sale for 99 cents. ;)

    Now I only have 7 more books to go to complete a year set of red books.
