If you have someone or more than one person that really wants the coin then the value will go up depending on how much that person would pay for it. On the other hand, if no one wants the coin then the value is at least face value. Collectability is all in the eye of the beholder, if you like it and want to collect it that is your option. There is nothing that states what you can or cannot collect.
