1946 steel penny

    Only in 1943 (which is perfectly normal) and in 1944 (which is a rare and valuable error, if real. About 40 genuine 1944 steel cents are known to exist).

    To be clear...I was asking about 1946 as in the title of the thread. I told the guy today that there are no known examples. Either its PMD and the date looks like 46 and not 43 or its plated by some bozo....or the date could be altered too. Either way, not a big deal. I asked him for pics and havent gotten any/
