[QUOTE="Skyman, post: 8182177, member: 28299"]Years ago I bought a Whitman from a LCS. The Whitman had a fairly complete set of 1946 - 1964 Roosevelts. A variety of the Roosevelts were toned up nicely. The price was right, so it was a WTF purchase. Over the years as kind of a backstop at coin shows where I wasn't finding anything else to purchase, I'd look for raw Roosies to fill in the holes in the album. Needless to say, OCD kicked in, and I started buying Roosies to replace Roosies that IMO were not attractively toned up. It was an off and on again project, that I never completed, once all the actually missing date/mm were filled in. Over the next several weeks I'll be posting the coins.

I'm happy with the coins from 1954 - 1964, but from 1946 - 1953 there are some coins that I just left in there from the original album purchase that IMO are basically fillers for the date/mm. It would not surprise me if a couple of upgrade coins from the 1960's are AT, but I've seen far worse AT jobs holdered in plastic from the two major TPGs. The original album contained BU/AU coins, so I've continued buying coins in these grades.

Years ago I posted the 1946 and 1947 Roosevelts, and the 1948's are mediocre. Here are the 1949 PDS for the Whitman album.
