1945 Wheat TRIPLE STAMPED ?????????

    I see a worn die strike

    Please explain what you think you see because all I see is a normal 1945 d Lincoln cent.

    Sorry for the bad photo. If you enlarge the picture it seems as though there are letters inside of letters in IN GOD WE TRUST AND ON FATE AND MINT MARK.

    As I mentioned.. Worn Die Strike.. Not Tripled.. Not a Mint Error

    At times my bad eyes have me see 3. It's really annoying when I do astrophotography and star mapping. But, in your picture I don't see 3 of anything.

    I think its still pretty cool. Id keep it. I like coins where you dont need any magnification to see somethings wrong even if its not a variety. Heck, I could get half the varieties out there in pocket change and would never even notice because the details are so tiny and slight. Seeing the words on this coin looking the way they do would have been a cool find even though its not officially anything more than a penny. Cool find at any rate.

    I like copper pennies from that era...the zincolns just seem so flat and bland. The features and details really pop. I know it breaks all rules but I'd clean it up and keep it!
