I have always wanted one of these Philippine coins. It counts as US, right? I happened to see this one listed on ebay for a reasonable price and thought it might be something special. She just came in today and wow. This coin glows and has a near flawless mint luster. I really dont know much about these. But thought I would attempt to share some photos:
Nice coin and grade...I've always have included a 1 peso with my US dollar type set the reverse eagle and shield one of my favorite designs.
Amazing. If it looks so good in the photo, I can only imagine how lustrous it must be in real life. I've got one of these handed down to me and while I was doing research on it, I discovered something really interesting about the reverse design. May I share it with you? The reverse represents the United States helping to rebuild the Philippines. U.S. is represented by Lady Liberty; rebuilding is represented by the Hammer and Anvil; the Philippines is represented by Mt. Mayon in the background. (A bit of trivia for ya. LOL.)
I like these. I really really like the ones that had the prior reverse which I think is about as nice of a reverse that has ever been made.
