1945 Micro S Mercury Dime - Thoughts on Grade?

    I tend to know the market better than most. ;-)

    Someone wants to sell me an ANA technical AU55 for AU money, I'll be glad to send it in and get an MS grade. :p

    I apologize for my “nicest AU I’ve ever seen” comment earlier. It was certainly rather ignorant given the original purpose of the thread, to just ask about what you guys thought of the coin’s grade.

    I apologize, as you're correct that with todays lack of standards between published A.N.A. technical and arbitrary market grading, there could be 6 grades difference. With my study, I've seen 4 grades difference, so 6 grades could be reasonable.

    Regardless, based on my observations of your efforts, I've too much respect, to believe you'd ever acquire that coin as a MS62 graded coin.

    I don't know about that. My PCGS grades normally drop a point when crossed from NGC.

    No need to apologize. You’re a smart kid and good with coins. In a couple of years from now you’ll teach us how to grade. And we’ll tell you about the old days :-D
