One that comes to mind was an 1867 5C claimed to be an RPD (simple strike doubling) and a 71-S 1C Pr DDO (strike doubling as well). When this happens not only is the seller opened up to unnecessary risk, especially since most in this situation are newer and have lower FB numbers, but buyers are open to getting screwed, which is one of if not the biggest reason for people walking away from this hobby.</p><p><br /></p><p>My greater point here is that a number of us really need to slow it down some. Personally, I will not state a coin is something unless I know it to be fact, and I can do so as if my own money is at risk (and I'm VERY cheap).
