    Lol. I also thought metal detector when I uncovered it.

    This is, by most historians opinions, likely to date 1740s. As far as location near the Yulee Fl area. There’s too much to explain here but go to YouTube and search for Chip Kirkpatrick SHED. (Scottish Heritage Education Day) and there’s the presentation I made last year that will give you most of the details you might like to hear, including the research, the interpretations and meanings and how it likely arrived here and became lost.
