CaptainMac Gotta Love Those Errors and Varieties!

    Hi all,

I wanted to ask for opinions on this 1944 wheat cent I came across not long ago, as I can't seem to definitively figure out what happened with it. My first reaction was a strikethrough of some kind due to the shape it has on the reverse, but now I am wondering if it is just PMD. The cent is not in great shape as it is, but if it is something I don't have, it'd be great to have an example for the collection to refer too! Sorry that the entire coin pictures are not as clear for the whole coin, but I think they gets the point across. I also included closer surface appearance pictures as that may help. Thanks!
