    Good morning all,

Is this a planchet flaw at 6:00 on the obverse? Is there any added value from this?

    Thanks,

The silver alloy war nickels seem to have a fair amount of lamination problems from what I have seen. Usually the value is pretty low on such errors but it's a buyers market, put it on Ebay and see what you get if you are wanting to sell. Otherwise I'd keep it as a "show and tell" Error. Congrats on finding it.

Nice lamination anywhere around $10 more or less.

It’s well circulated but that is a lamination error. They are very common, especially on war nickels. Not a lot of premium especially with the circulation west and tear.

Thank you everyone for the responses! I've seen a couple of these and suspected they were more common on the 35% silver nickels.

A common occurrence on Wartime nickels. Yours saw some hard miles but survived. Found a few CRH myself 5B37A285-41E1-4BCB-B112-21DCC658335E.jpeg

As others stated, lamination issues seem to plague nickels, from Buffalo's to Jefferson's. Some collectors specialize in them and will pay a premium for them, but most are low value.

I'll see your lamination Jefferson and raise you. LOL
