Am curious if this coin is a jackpot or just another penny. Feel free to expand my knowledge on this coin
Welcome to CT! Unfortunately all I see from your pictures is a well circulated 1944-d cent. Is there something special you see?
First, welcome to the neighborhood! If it were a steelie, I'd say yes, but it's snot. (Say it fast!) ~ Chris
Yeah, 1943 cents were made of steel, 1942 and 44 were made of bronze. So a bronze 43 or steel 44 are the jackpot coins if real. I would say 5000 fakes exist for every real one, (probably low).
It's a very common coin worth only a few cents in that grade, but it IS worth more than face value, and it's a 76-year-old obsolete type, so that's good. Jackpot? Nope. Fun? Yep.
