    Yeah, 1943 cents were made of steel, 1942 and 44 were made of bronze. So a bronze 43 or steel 44 are the jackpot coins if real. I would say 5000 fakes exist for every real one, (probably low).

    It's a very common coin worth only a few cents in that grade, but it IS worth more than face value, and it's a 76-year-old obsolete type, so that's good.

    Jackpot? Nope.

    Fun? Yep.

    Trivia: 1944 cents were made from leftover WW2 shell casings.
