1943 steel with die crack

    I found this one in a protector. I took it out to have a better look. Appears in good condition and seems like the person must have put it in the protector due to a pretty obvious die crack on off the lower stalk to rim.

    Die Crack are fair common on steel cents. The steel planchets are much harder than copper so striking pressures had to be increased which put extra stress on the dies.
