Steel cents represent a special time in our history. They are historically invaluable, however not so much intrinsically valueable.
Nice looking. I can buy these 6 for $1.00 at my local coin shop. You might get fifty cents for it since it looks to be in great shape and not reprocessed (re coated).
I am not familiar with that website. I can only assume it was an asking price. Honestly, war cents are quite common.
OK.... I just did a search and see that this is one of the YouTube guys. First off, keep in mind these guys can say anything. Secondly, the more outlandish their claims, the more views they receive. And as I understand it there is some level of monetary reward for YouTube views. A steel war era cent is a common coin with little inherent value.
Yes, they show coins which maybe be relatively unseen today, but are extremely rare to appeal to people trying to scrape out extra income. They are the ones winning by selling subscriptions to mainly show ad time as they have a website also. But I do wish it was true...... I still have this nice roll . All original, Jim
I only paid $2.00 for the set, P, D and S and I probably over paid, but then, I figured for the cost, it was affordable and I won't miss all that money. I also liked the case set no big deal. All the coins are original. None have been replated. And if ESTY gets the $40,000, I may have to part with this set. I'll be asking more than $40,000 though. Lol Just want you to see what we mean by common. @DISDIK
