1943 steel Lincoln cents

    I told one of the ladies at my LCS that I was going to buy some their 25 cent steelies to give to my nephews and nieces and she gave me 10 for free. :cool:

    That about sums it up.
    For educational experience, fool around with them and see what works to improve an already poor condition coin.

    My Dad had a bunch of them. My brother and split them. My half included 143 (P), 44 D, and 4 S. My brother got the same in our split. All his coins are one of those water bottles that are put in a water dispenser upside down. I never did go through them. I had more fish to fry.

    You can use them as a training tool during the cleaning process. They have pretty much seen the best years already. After cleaning you can still spend them. Good luck.
