Hi Stella,

I know that sometimes people get off on the wrong foot. Welcome to the forum and you do have some very nice coins, and certainly they are nice to see. As a variety collector I appreciate seeing someone else, especially if they are young ( well the majority here are young to me) that likes variety coins also. It is much better to present your coin and wait for the praise ( if due) to come in. Much more to learn that way, and there is a huge amount to learn. There are truly experts on this forum for varieties, and all can learn from them. One difficulty, is that for the forum to protect our younger collectors, much information is not available, so no one knows, unless told by the person, the age of others.....except some of us are as old as dirt, but that doesn't mean we don't know our stuff. We can help you in the long run.

If you use the serach function , you can find a thread of mine on the 1960 D/D DDO, ( 025.5). I personally have more than 6 ( not bragging, just explaining that many coins do not go in for grading ). Earlier this month a person was trying to dump his collection of 320+ BU examples of this coin in 2 ebay auctions of 163 each. He only slabbed a couple and didn't the rest as he didn't want the population to go up and drive the price down. Best wishes in your studies!

Jim
