1943 silver penny

    Just a really strange coincidence I suppose. When I replied to this thread, I thought I was replying to a post from the thread I started. I would be curious if those two "cents" were minted at the same time.

    It's been a while. I still have the coin. I called Heritage House. They would only auction it off at such a low price that i decided to keep it. Their cost for selling it was hi too. I can't blame them. They have to run a business.
    I guess i was hoping it was worth a lot more that it is.
    Now it's a conversation piece that will be passed down. I got to say that it was a fun ride!

    Use the search string "1943 planchet" and you will find the ones Heritage has sold, like this one:

    I see a total of 4, with the one above being the most recent. Another thing, when looking at the prices they brought, note when they sold since prices on things like this have gone up considerably over time. ;)
