Their lifetime can be short because of the chemical reactivity of the zinc and the steel. It should be dull grey of steel, not the more reflective surface of zinc. If the edges and the obverse/reverse are the same , it has been replated. Either by companies or school chemistry experiments.</p><p><br /></p><p>Your coin shows no evidence of a doubled die coin.
