1943 s nickel die chips or some thing

    its pretty rough but kinda neat just cant be sure if its mint damage or not I have really tried hard trying to figure this out just not good enough thank you for any help .not sure what I have keep or pitch ?

    do you think this is what it looked like from the Mint 76 years ago ?

    Regardless of the condition, why would you want to "pitch" a coin with a composition of 35% silver?

    sorry didn't mean to really pitch it . just put it with a different group thanks though . im getting a lot of input but no answers are the globs of metal on the bottom of the obverse from the mint or what might it be thanks

    I think almost all the damage on this coin is from corrosion. What looks like additional metal is really the original metal and the other metal has corroded away. The reverse also may have a lamination that has also corroded over the years. Just my humble oppinion.

    Looks like a die crack left Side of Monticello all the way to the E and across to the PL in E.PLURIBUS
