I like it. I don't think it looks like damage. There is metal missing.

The metal 'missing' or flattened is from damage.

When I see posts from Fred it brings thoughts of "The Mandalorian"... "I have spoken," or "This is the way." I think it in jest, but I still think it.

How can there be absolutely no damage in the field and only ghost images left on the 1,9 and 4?

I absolutely see such effects on all denominations of
    coins, all years.

It happens all the time.......damaged here, but not
close by 'here'. It's the random effect of the object
that flattened the bottom part of all three of those digits.

I was going to say something similar, but not quite as well. ~ Chris;)
