Sorry for the mediocre photos and my usb microscope took a dump so this is the best I could do with my camera. Was curious if this is a repunched mint mark or perhaps some doubling? 100_4416.JPG 100_4411.JPG 100_4431.JPG 100_4428.JPG

Looks like the 1943-D RPM-001. I can't tell from your obverse image because of the glare but it should have a die crack in the hair.

Actually it does, I didn't notice it before. Starts at the top of the hair and goes south.

Machine Doubling would not produce a split serif at the bottom of the D like that. That is most certainly a RPM. It's a nice one too!! Nice find!

Yup spot on RPM and you may take a look at the steps as from your images the are looking pretty sweet. Nice coin.

Got the microscope working again. Think it would hit full steps? It would be fairly cheap to send to Anacs but not sure if it would be worth it.

I'm not a nickel person. Would the coin be worth the cost of grading with the full steps and RPM?

Just looked up the prices without the RPM, I don't think it is worth it but thank you for telling me it is full steps.
