View attachment 575440 View attachment 575441 View attachment 575448 View attachment 575457 According to the PCGS price guide it could be up to $9,800 depending on the grade. mine has full steps for sure i checked with a microscope but i'd like some opinions on the grade. My guess is somewhere between ms65-67 but i am no expert.
If I can see all the other detail on your coin from the photo, I should be able to see the step division. A nice looking coin but full steps are rare on old coins. MS 65-67 is optimistic. MS-63 prob.
That's a heck of a find, let me tell you. But without full steps its numismatic value isn't going to buy you a Big Mac meal. We need better pictures of those, as well as of the coin, itself. Personally, and without any disrespect intended, I've seen better pictures of the Loch Ness Monster.
Hope you are right. Compare to this link: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/th...erson-nickels-defined-photographically.49827/
i gave the shot of the stairs another try. it's a little more visible but the lighting is still horrible
It does not look like full steps in the photos, it doesn't take much of a "blurring" of the lines to knock it out of contention.
the very fact that you found the coin while roll hunting....shouldnt that preclude it from being given any uncirculated grade?
Only if it looks circulated. It'll need to be a bare minimum of MS66 to even comp the cost of having it graded.
