1943 D/S?

    I have a coin that has the same characteristics as a 1944 D/S.. is there such a thing of this kind of variety for 1943 D date?

    I'm not seeing it. I am seeing a plating issue. Is it replated? You can tell by looking at the edge. When minted, the edge was not plated.

    Yes. the 1943 cent was minted using zinc plated steel.
    The blanks were punched after the steel was plated.
