Alrighty, got some good stuff here from some folks who are considerate. I see what you say about the curve of the top of the three and the tail of the 3 as well. Much appreciated! Not being a metallurgist, I’m not familiar with how one could remove material, add material or move material around. I see now that it looks more and more like someone fudged with that 3. Thanks to those that were helpful and tolerable. I’m gonna just keep it as “one that might have been”.
you need to research and look at all the novelty and "sculptured" coins out there as ppl make a totally different coin images from what is minted. Go and google "hobo coins" and it will enlighten you quite a bit. the person that tried to make that 7 into a 3 was inexperienced and made a very quick and novel attempt to fool someone(s). They also used a very damaged coin as a distraction.
Ahhhh, makes sense using a damaged coin to pull the eye away from the real issue. Thnx much appreciated.
I don't think so........damaged beyond belief and the '3' appears to be altered and bogus. 'Almost Good'.......run over by a cement truck.
