P.S. I just did speedy under couterfeit/fraudulent claim.... I love this place, It's guys like these on e-bay ruining future numistists to our passion. Thanks again for prompting everyone to write e-bay about this item.
hmmmm what ebay sellers will do to make a fast buck...I dont like sounding so negative but many ebay sellers that claim they arent sure it their item is real is usually putting you on... Isnt there only something like 4 1943 copper cents in existance?
By law no---by Ebay rules--yes---if you would get reported for telling the bidders that its fake Ebay could kick you off. Speedy
for coins only you can use this link too. It allows you to add a message to your report. I don't know if that helps, but it makes me feel better. lol
Reported also. By the way, I am interested in purchasing several 1948 Wheats for alteration and sale. (joking). i put up a thread here about a year ago with my altered 1948 wheat, and it was a much better alteration. Maybe worth 200 or so? A very good counterfeit, sold as a counterfeit, is worth a little cash, but sold as the real thing is a fraud.
I just told the guy whos the winning bidder about this and directed him to this site.this is what he said
sold the coin sold for $510.00. I would say someone over paid by about $509.99 give or take a cent.:hammer:
