I am pretty sure I have seen at least 2 that are misleading here on CT. One was like yours, but it was a while ago. Jim.
Even the die gouge spike is sort of a variety IMO. And worth keeping. Gonna dig out my 43 P's again but last time I looked, I crapped out. However, in a different thread I went through my 1939 P's and found 2 that were reverse of 38 so that was cool.
@Islander80-83, well, you definitely have something! Certainly worth keeping and spending time to do more investigating. Remember, you have the coin in hand and those coins always look different in hand than they do in a photo.
