    This. ("NAV" being an acronym for "no added value".)

    So yes, it's an error, but a minor one, with only "conversation piece" value added.

    Still a kind of fun find. Neat how the lamination affected the last two letters in TRUST.

    I often see the wood grain effect on several cents from the twenties and before. They are very appealing to me. Thanks for the post.

    LAMINATIONS BRING FROM A CUPLA DOLLARS TO THE TEENS AND TWENTIES, GO ON USA COIN BOOK OR EBAY AND PERUSE, DO NOT LISTEN TO EVERYONE WHO SAYS NAV, FOR PEOPLE ARE BUYING THEM, ME INCLUDED, IT IS AN ERROR AND PEOPLE LOVE ERRORS!!

    What don’t you understand about NAV? It’s worth around what the price guides say a 1942 cent at that grade is worth.
