It has $1.24 of silver in it by today's closing silver price of $17.17 a troy ounce.

It appears to be a 1942-S, meaning it has the "S" mintmark for San Francisco between the "E" in "DIME" and the olive branch on the reverse.

It is a common coin, worth roughly two bucks nowadays in this grade (I'd assess it around VG8; which is Very Good).

At a minimum, it's got about a buck and a quarter's worth of silver bullion in it, as @eddiespin mentioned.
