1942 dime and 1944 dime..

    Hey, Looking for some insight on these if you think I should pay to have these slabbed ? I think these are good, I have never had coins graded...

    My personal opinion is that war year Mercury dimes need to be in premium gem full band condition in order to be worth certification. The dimes you showed look to be less than gem condition. The photo below is an example of the quality I look for when submitting war year Mercs, even though it came back without FB.

    If you have to ask "should I grade these" then don't - you will just be wasting your money! A "gradeable coin" will jump out at you!! No need to ask!

    PS - it's not even "full bands" - don't waste your money

    You can buy these 66,s on E-bay for around $30-35.

    Not worth grading. For these dates they would need to be around MS66 with good color and/or FB to be worth submitting.
