1941 Wheat Penny Error?

    The first image is the obverse and the second is the reverse. The third points out all the "errors". There are two longs cracks, as shown. The top left is a pretty steep hole. The "E" and "PLU" of "PLURIBUS" are pressed onto the hole, so it definitely is a mint error. Because of all the cracks and the hole, I'm thinking that the penny was struck on a defective planchet. Any ideas what this error might be? Thoughts? Value? I'm happy to reply to any question about the coin. Thank you!:cat::cat::cat:

    Nice lamination error. Check under planchet errors here and bookmark this site if you haven’t already done so.

    Agree, looks like pretty cool lamination errors. The gouge I'm not sure of.

    Now I know that the cracks are lamination errors. The hole is still is mystery...;)

    The hole is were a piece of the coin fell away post strike, The lamination fell off the coin.

    It's a lamination error.
    No mystery. The hole is a detached lamination and the cracked area are not. They are retained lamination errors.
