image.jpg image.jpg Hey everyone, I was hoping that you all could chime regarding this coin. Does it appear to be an RPM or damage to the MM?

    Thanks everybody!

It's a really nice coin! The 41-s is often seen poorly struck, so nice to see a FS coin. There is also a large S and inverted S type for this date.

I was wondering why the low MS 65 on this coin but looking at the slab label it looks like it is not the 1941S but rather a 1940 D in MS 66.

Obviously the coin itself is an "S" so not sure what the slab label is referring to. Still wondering why only a 66 on this very nice coin. The mysteries of grading services.

Though the photos are not great, there is a very prominent, and certainly grade limiting mark on Jefferson's cheekbone. There looks to be some smaller marks around his mouth as well. And who knows how many minor ticks are hiding in the shadows.
