I agree with you. Seeing a merc when I was young was a real treat because it looked so different. Plus they invoked a sense of mythology. Very nice!

if this were in my book of dimes for sale, i would grade it a f-12 and ask 2.75, but of course would take less, min i would sell this type and condition if someone were say, buying a bunch is 2.25
Yes Mercury dimes can be worth some. Either a "key date" or a common date in very high uncirculated condition and with full bands on the faeces on the reverse. The 41 S also has an S over S repunched mint mark that can carry a premium. Your example is not a key date or in uncirculated condition Keep looking!
