    Indeed, it does look like a doubled die to me. It might be DDR-019.

    The DDR on the 1939 is a little more prominent on MONTICELLO.
    Your coin has a lot of wear so it's hard to tell there are some good photos here of that variety.

    It looks like the link that rick sent. It has all the stuff in that link. Wish i could show better picks. Cuz you can even see all that FIVE CENT stuff too

    Would acetone do any good on nickels like the one above @ldhair

    As far as I know acetone won't harm any coin. You can give it a try if you want. Soak it for 15 mins and let it airdry. Dont rub the coin unless you have a very soft cloth. But, remember the rule "dont ever clean your coin". Unless it have no value. Also, only 100% acetone no other stuff in it, not nail polish or nail removal stuff.
