It's hard to see anything from the photos you posted. Can you post clearer photos of both sides of the entire coin and clear closeups of the area in question. The lighting and orientation of the coin makes it harder to see anything.

It's probably nothing just a old beat up penny

 

It's a nice old Cent but the pics are still to blurry to tell anything.
