1939 penny what's it worth???

    Correct me if I am wrong but it looks like it says i939 is this worth anything??

    Looks like a 1989, and... 1 cent. Also, wheat cents were produced 1958 and before.

    Common Wheaties (wheat back cents) are usually only worth 5-10 cents even if there is no damage. Spend this one on nation coin collecting day.

    If the reverse shows wheat ears, yes it is 1939. If the revers shows a memorial it is 1959 or newer. As damaged as your cent is I am afraid face value is all it is worth.

    The 3 and the 9's don't seem to match a 1939. It more matches a 1989.
    Zinc rot coin. Only worth 1 cent if you are able to redeem it as a mutilated coin.
