To the left of the Indian's foot (D & S). Philly doesn't have a mintmark.

So true. After looking closer at these beauties, I can not find any flaws with them. I should agree with Chris i.e. 67 67 67

I considered them on a par with my 1926-S Oregon Trail that was graded NGC MS67.

Okay, Ken @green18 ! What are the answers?

OK guys, great answers. The coins were graded '65 but I think they could bump up a mark or two. CAC tends to agree..........:)

Cool. Looks like everybody who guessed 65 or 66 was partially correct, in a sense. :) I love the design of these coins. I need to hunt down one myself yet for my set.

Nice group of 39 Oregons! I didn't play before you posted, but I would have guessed easy 66 on all 3. I assume, since the premiums for gold stickers on really old holders are quite high, that these won't end up in holders with the right grades on them anytime soon.

Okay, I have a question for you guys. Does the "Gold Bean" suggest that these coins are (only) under-graded by one point? I still think there are some 67's there.

I thought the gold bean meant they thought it was undergraded by at least one grade. So, it could be undergraded by 2 grades, I suppose.

I have a question. A while back, I asked you if you were going to work on a set of these coins, and you said at that time, I think, it is too much of a challenge. Have ou now decided to complete a variety set of these? And, how about a variety set of Texas centennial halves? Personally, both types are my favorite classic commems.

When one of my favorite dealers gets in one of these PDS date sets I'm highly tempted to purchase it, and if the price is right, I do. The thing that sold me on this set was that gold bean and the potential re-sale value. If the popularity of the gold bean continues to hold, these might be a nice bargaining chip for something I'd like to upgrade to.

To answer you question, no, I don't plan on completing a total date run of these. The only complete date run sets I'm planning (currently working on) are the Bookers and Carver Washingtons, and they have to be PCGS at '65 or higher. The 'bean' is not required. :)

    Incredible coins Green!!!
I do believe those check all of the boxes for absolute premium quality and their unique qualities are unmatchable. I love any coins in those old fatty holders....add consecutive serial numbers, on a 3-coin set, with matching grades & matching gold beans no-less! Wow :woot:

Its possible that the sequential numbers, holders and gold beans make this set completely unique, and I imagine could command quite a premium.

Even though I do think they would grade about 2 points higher, I truly believe they should be left right where they are.
