Good afternoon. I picked up a 1939- D 2 Reichsmarc from a yard sale. When I got home and inspected the coin, I noticed that the mintmark was punched twice.
Is there any demand for this type of error given its origin.
Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks IMG_20180504_122957142.jpg IMG_20180504_122956099.jpg IMG_20180504_122141998_BURST000_COVER_TOP.jpg IMG_20180504_122110605.jpg

Doubled dies are pretty well known on this series and are fairly common. They do have a premium though. Last I checked (not that recently) they were going for around $25-$30 in this condition, which is a lot more than the $8-$10 that a non-DD version typically sells for.
That being said, the doubling on your coin is not very strong. Generally you would see clear splitting of serifs on the two dates.

You might want to check the whole legend for doubling. I think that I see some on the "Pa" of Paul in that first pic.

My experience is that the demand for these is pretty soft, premium-wise, but that you would be able to sell them quickly if you do not mark them up too much.
