1938 wheat penny

    Being a common, circulated wheat cent, my guess would be around 5-10 cents. Especially with a mintage of over 20 million, according to USA Coin Book and Cointrackers, it would not be worth much over that, unless it was uncirculated.

    A 1938-D LWC in Fine condition could go for as much as 50¢ to a $1 depending on the searcher. Mintage is 20,010,000.

    1938-D is not a bad one and in that condition, 75 cents retail.
