You know, in the beginning, I felt like I was losing something. I don't anymore. Without buying/selling I would never be able to buy as much as I do. Also, I can buy some rarer varieties and spend a little more because I know I'm going to turn it around. In the meantime, I get to hold rarer coins than I ever did before. I don't have anywhere near the restrictions that I had and, in a couple of years, I am going to start a bust half collection from scratch (which is something I can't wait to do). If I do buy a coin that I don't want to part with right away, I don't have to - but I do like the feeling of making a great deal and then turning that money over to purchase more. I am also exposed to many more coins that I ever was before so my knowledge is growing in leaps and bounds. I guess it's just a different way of looking at numismatics. ;)
