I found this 1938 Wheat Penny that didnt look like any other copper penny ive found before. Non magnetic Gray in color including rim. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks for your time
I'm in agreement, with all the agreeing that has been agreed upon so agreeably. But if you are not, I suggest you weigh it with a gram scale.
Toned more than usual, or buried for a little while, or lacks any cleaning like other coins. If you run into many cents, you'll find red ones (usually indicative of being buried), black or other unnatural dark colors (burning), and all sorts of post mint damage
