Another great pickup, for 15 bucks . I only took images of the best doubling, on this coin . I also took images of the " Markers " . Here's the link to Coneca . http://varietyvista.com/01a LC Doubled Dies Vol 1/1938PDDR001.htm
I also order a new scope from China yesterday . For this price, you can't go wrong . https://www.ebay.com/itm/8LED-1000X-10MP-USB-Digital-Microscope-Endoscope-Magnifier-Camera-Lift-Stand/312786718201?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
If it's a 10MP camera, and the box looks like it say 1600x ( not 1000x as advertised ) . It should take great closeups. This will be my third scope . I own a 1 MP . These closeups showing were taken at 2MP, with 250x .
With that high of magnification it may be difficult to get a complete photo of larger coins like halves and dollars.
Mine is 10X - 300X. Here is a photo of my set up with a Morgan. The coin is on the plate under the scope and the image is on the monitor.
I take my full shots at 1600 x 1200 . I'll take closeups at 1280 x 960 . It also takes images at, 800 x 600 and 640 x 480 ...
Well, IMHO, it looks like machine doubling. if it was true doubling, there shouldn't be a sharp edge on the "S"! True doubling would be round...not flat.
