Hey all I scored on a pretty nice 38-D looks high AU maybe low MS haven’t had enough to know the grades very well yet. I do have these black spots that are in different spots around the obverse and reverse. I know acetone is good for organic material but don’t want to waste the time or chance anything if I don’t have to. Almost looks like black paint or something I have seen this on other silver coins maybe it’s just toning spots? Any recommendations on what to do or just leave it alone would be greatly appreciated. I also got this for 275$ shipped and was wondering if it would be pointless in getting it graded as I have always sent the NGC in the last to get the cheapest membership it’ll be about 90$ shipped to get this graded and not sure if this is also worth it or not. Also there’s a decent gash on the obverse rim on the right side that may drop it fairly good as well sadly.. Like I said not well at grading these walkers comfortably yet. Thank you!
