    I probably will just because it is the oldest best conditioned coin I've found roll hunting...so far. Thank you guys for the compliments on the coin.

    Agreed, it's for sure a 3. But I agree that those 3s on Jeffersons look a lot like the 5s. I've found nickels in rolls that I thought were '58 or '59, and almost threw 'em back, but after looking closely noticed they were a '38 or '39.

    I believe it would cost more than the coin's value ? IMHO

    awesome find, great luster, seem to be a big mark on cheek. MS66 are only sellling for around $30 to $40, are you sure you want to spend $20 or more in grading fee?

    What company with a decent rep will grade coins for $20 including shipping and insurance and handling fees?

    Hello Fish968;

    I can't believe you found that beautiful coin in a roll! It is awesome. I would grade it at least MS-65 from the photographs you have provided. Congratulations on your find!

    Here is a photograph of my 1938 D nickel. They made Buffalos that year also and you probably already know. I didn't find this in a roll, but purchased raw at a coin shop. I think a TPG would give it a MS-66 at least. What do you think? Sorry about the blurry pictures. I'm still trying to get my camera shot angles right.
